What is School TDM Program?

School TDM Program is a FREE program offered by the Florida Department of Transportation in cooperation with Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Monroe, Martin, Indian River, and St Lucie County Public Schools.

What is TDM? Transportation Demand Management (TDM) focuses on people reducing the number of personal vehicle trips, especially during peak periods. Transportation Demand Management (TDM) includes the promotion of alternatives to the single occupant vehicle, including public transportation, carpooling, vanpooling, bicycling, walking, and telecommuting, as well as other methods for reducing peak hour travel.

Why should your school have a TDM program? A Transportation Demand Management (TDM) program is an essential initiative for schools, offering significant benefits in safety, efficiency, and sustainability. By reducing traffic congestion during pick-up and drop-off times, TDM programs enhance safety and create a more manageable traffic flow.

What We Do

We work with schools and parents to connect families, reduce congestion, reduce the need for parking, create an efficient pick-up and drop-off line as well as promoting safety.

Benefits of Pooling

Carpooling reduces the number of cars in the drop off & pick up lines. Less cars means less traffic congestion & environmental impacts. A more efficient drop off & pick up also makes it safer for pedestrians & cyclists.

School TDM Sponsorships

The Florida Department of Transportation offers an annual sponsorship of up to $2000 to help schools reduce traffic and encourage alternate modes of transportation.

We provide transportation options to South Florida Schools

Improving traffic conditions in and around the school, student safety and environmental sustainability.

  • We partner with the school PTAs, police departments, city officials, transit agencies, and local school districts to provide incentives to parents & students interested in improving traffic congestion and getting involved in safety/environmental initiatives.
